TV HOST, ENTERTAINER AND THOUGHT LEADER
Updates will be coming soon... don't hold your breath.
I was born and raised in Maryland – the state famous for absolutely nothing but their crab cakes. I studied broadcast journalism from Boston University (what’s up Howard Stern?), and after graduating, I hopped on a plane –with a dream and my cardigan– and moved to Los Angeles for the riskiest, but the most rewarding journey yet.
I landed my first "grown-up" job at The Hollywood Reporter, interviewing key players of the industry– and even covered the 71st Golden Globe Awards. Not long after, I had the honor of sharing the same screen with the stars, chatting with them on red carpets and in studios for various digital networks. My experience, point of view and the burning questions growing inside me then led me to discuss worldly news. Because I want to do it "Lal," I also began to grow acting credits under my name including web series, short films, winning a reality TV show and national commercials. It doesn’t stop there. You can catch me performing stand up comedy around town, too.
Having said that, this is a small part of why the move to Los Angeles was worthwhile. Frankly, the independence allowed me to find my deepest passions, and (as clichéd as this is) find myself. The journalist, the Indian and the Gemini in me make me want to do more than talk to people, but also connect with them on a deeper level; Discover compelling stories that link people and events of this world together. To make a long story short, I want to inform, inspire and entertain - and never give up while doing so.
